Matrubhumi – Mera Kartavya

भारत इन दिनों एक बहुत बडे महापर्व को मना रहा है । यह पर्व उसकी राजनैतिक धरोहर का अतिशय महत्वपूर्ण पड़ाव है । यह पड़ाव हर पांच साल की अवधि पर आता है ।

भारत एवं भारतीयों की लोकतंत्र के लिए प्रतिबद्धता वंदनीय है । कठिन से कठिन समय में भी भारत ने अपनी यह लोकतांत्रिक पहचान छोड़ी नहीं है । अपितु यह पहचान उसकी बहुत पुरानी है । भारत में कई प्रकार के राज्य व्यवस्था की कल्पना की गयी है तथा उन कल्पनाओं को साकार करने विविध प्रकार के प्रयोग भी हुए हैं । यह सारी राज्य व्यवस्थाएं हम में से कई लोगों को ज्ञात है । हम उन्हें बोलते भी हैं । पर कभी किसी ने बताया नहीं इसलिए हम उनसे अज्ञात होने की भ्रमणा में जी रहें हैं । हम सब, कभी न कभी, किसी भी प्रकार की पूजा के बाद होनेवाली आरती में सम्मिलित हुए हैं । आरती के बाद बोले जानेवाले मंत्रपुष्पांजलि के मंत्र से भी परिचित हैं । उस मंत्र में गणेशजी का आवाहन है तथा गण के ईश ने जो विविध राज्य व्यवस्थाएं संभाली है, उनका नामोल्लेख है ।

ॐ यज्ञेन यज्ञमयजन्त देवास्तानि धर्माणि प्रथमान्यासन् | ते ह नाकं महिमानः सचन्त यत्र पूर्वे साध्याः सन्ति देवाः || 1 ||

ॐ राजाधिराजाय प्रसह्यसाहिने नमो वयं वैश्रवणाय कुर्महे | स मे कामान्कामकामाय मह्यम् कामेश्वरो वैश्रवणो ददातु | कुबेराय वैश्रवणाय महाराजाय नमः || 2 ||

ॐ स्वस्ति| साम्राज्यं भौज्यं स्वाराज्यं वैराज्यं पारमेष्ठ्यं राज्यं महाराज्यमाधिपत्यमयं समंतपर्यायी स्यात्सार्वभौमः सार्वायुष समुद्रपर्यंताया एकराळिति || 3 ||

तदप्येषः श्लोको ऽभिगीतो |मरुतः परिवेष्टारो मरुत्तस्यावसन् गृहे | आविक्षितस्य कामप्रेर्विश्वे देवाः सभासद इति || 4 ||

मैंने जो भाग हमारी आज की चर्चा के लिए प्रस्तुत है उसे अधोरेखांकित किया है । भारतमें साम्राज्य से लेकर सार्वभौम राज्य की संकल्पना है । (इन सभी राज्य व्यवस्थाओं के लिए अलग से लिखा जा सकता है ।) इसलिए मैंने कहा की हमारी धरोहर पुरानी है । इन व्यवस्थाओं में से स्वराज्य की कल्पना महर्षि अत्रि ने की है । इतना ही नहीं, उन्होंने उसका सफल प्रयोग भी किया है । यह वही ॠषि अत्रि और अनुसूया हैं, जिनका दर्शन शादी के बाद, पति अपनी पत्नी के साथ, तारों के रूप में करता है । पर हमारी दयनीय स्थिति यह है की हमें यह सब बातें मालूम नहीं और बताई भी नहीं गयी । बताने की कोशिश भी नहीं की गयी ! और फिर अपने आपको लोकतंत्र के पोषक मानते हैं ! उससे भी आगे जाकर कहते हैं हम लोकतंत्र के स्थापक हैं । जिन लोगों को अपनी धरोहर मालूम नहीं, उन्हें उसपर अभिमान कहाँ से होगा ? फिर उसे अपने कर्तव्य का भान कैसे होगा ? फिर वह क्यों अपने मताधिकार के बारे में जागृत होगा ? उसे तो मतदान का दिन छुट्टी का दिन ही लगेगा । आज सत्तर साल बाद हमें लोगों को मतदान करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध होने को सिखाना पडता है । उसके कर्तव्य से अवगत कराना पडता है । इतनी दयनीय स्थिति में हमने अपने लोकतंत्र को लाकर खडा कर दिया है ।

इस स्थिति को बदलना होगा । और इसके लिए हमने खुद से ही शुरूआत करनी होगी । लोकतंत्र के इस महापर्व में सम्मिलित होना होगा । सिर्फ हम नहीं पर हमारे घर के सारे सदस्यों को भी सम्मिलित करेंगे । हम खुद के कर्तव्य प्रति जागरूक रहें यही मेरे आज के लिखने का हेतु है ।

हम अपने अमूल्य मताधिकार का उपयोग करें यही हमारी सच्ची राष्ट्रवंदना होगी ।

इसलिए आप सबसे नम्रफतापूर्वक आग्रह करता हूँ की आप घर से बाहर निकलकर अपने मताधिकार का उपयोग करें । आप, जिस पार्टी तथा विचारों से आकर्षित हो, उसे अपना मत दीजिए । पर मताधिकार का उपयोग जरूर करें ।

Translation :

Motherland : MY DUTY

We, Indians, are celebrating one of the biggest festivals of democracy! This festival is celebrated every 5 years. And today we are at a very important phase of that festival.

I salute the spirt of India and Indians and their commitment towards democracy. India has never lost her democratic frame of mind even in the darkest periods of Her history. Yes! It’s spirit is as old as the Vedas. There have been many a different thoughts about different types of systems to govern a country and they all have been experimented upon in India. Many of us already know them. Many of us have been uttering them without their knowledge. But as we have not been explained the meaning, we are just uttering them mechanically. This mechanicality needs to be given a meaning. We all have participated in “Aarti” at the end of Poojas. After the Aarti, we have rendered Mantrapushpanjali in the loudest possible manner. What is this Mantrapushpanjali? It’s an invocation of Ganesha and also the names of different types of systems of governing a country.

yajñena yyuyajñamayajanta devāstāni dharmāṇi prathamānyāsan |
te ha nākam mahimānaḥ sacanta yatra pūrve sādhyāḥ santi devāḥ || 1 ||

om |
rājādhirājāya prasahyasāhine namovayam vaiśravaṇāya kurmahe |
sa me kāmānkāmakāmāya mahyam kāmeśvaro vaiśravaṇo dadātu |
kuberāya vaiśravaṇāya mahārājāya namaḥ || 2 ||

om svasti |
sāmrājyam bhaujyam svārājyam vairājyam pārameṣṭhyam rājyam
māhārājyamādhipatyamayam samantaparyāyī syātsārvabhaumaḥ sārvāyuṣa āntādāparārdhātpṛthivyai samudraparyantāyā ekarāḷiti || 3 ||

tadapyeṣa śloko ‘bhigīto |
marutaḥ pariveṣṭāro maruttasyāvasan gṛhe |
āvikśitasya kāmaprerviśve devāḥ sabhāsada iti || 4 ||

Have underlined the part which is relevant and important for our discussion today. From Samrajyam (Soverign) to saarvabhaum (universal mastership) all different types of governing systems have been mentioned here. ( a separate blog can be written on each one of them). This is the reason I said that we have a rich past in many of my previous posts too. Of all these, the concept, thought and the experiment of Swarajya (Rule of the people – Democracy) has been given and performed by Maharishi Atri. Yes, the same Rishi Atri and Sati Anusuya, whom we see and bow down to as stars on the first night after marriage. It is the husband who is supposed to show the wife these stars on the first night. They are considered to be an ideal a couple in our scriptures. But it’s a pity that we do not know this nor have we been educated about this! Nor has there been any effort even in that direction! And then we boast about being the founder of Democracy and have fostered it for 70 years. And for those citizens who do not know their history and their roots, how will they feel proud about it? How will they know about their duty? How will they be aware about their vote? Won’t they feel that the Day of Voting is a holiday and plan their trips? And then, we want to create an awareness amongst them for voting! We want them to go out and vote! This is a sorry state of affairs which we have brought our democracy to!

We have to change this situation. And for that we need to begin with our own self. We need to participate in this festival of democracy. And involve every family member too. My motive behind writing this blog is to just create an awareness towards our duty towards our Country to.

Voting is also one of the ways to pay respect to our country.

So, pls go out and vote. Vote for the party and the ideals you like but perform your duty!
