Morning Musings… 12

Birth of a day and the Guru

The birth of a child is the Hope that God has upon His creation…

Yesterday spoke to a friend who is studying medicine and had just helped deliver a child some hours back. He described his experience as an adrenaline rush. But his excitement conveyed that he was very happy to be a part of that process.

Actually Birth is life. And giving a life to someone is a beautiful experience which everyone needs to experience. The woman is blessed to have this experience naturally but for the man it is something either he needs very perfect emotions to feel and understand or he has to be born a woman in his next birth to experience that.

Or one needs to have a Guru (a spiritual guide) to make one experience that feeling. The Guru by his thoughts moulds the student and gives a new birth that of understanding and emotions of the student. But this is difficult topic to dwell in short so will leave it for some next time.

But would tell my readers that let us all learn to celebrate birth and death as a part of life.

Let us understand the purpose of our life and live upto it.

  1. great topic and great post

one of my friends used to work as medical help to main doctor back in 2000 and he was quiet young and inexperienced, however he had learnt assisting deliveries in the maternity hospital he was working, and he was quiet confident, he used to assist in delivery even when main doctor could not reach during nighttime or being out of town.

On one of night i was staying with him in hospital and an expecting mother was in hospital, he knew doctor would not be able to come and he asked me to join and experience childbirth as he only diagnosed now it was time for the delivery. Not for seeking help, but just to make me feel how it feels.

I declined considering privacy of the expected mother and not making crowd in labor room. He didn’t push further and went in hurry. after the baby was born, we were having chats late in night and he said that it’s not about privacy or in any way bad looks but it’s really great to experience childbirth and though he was in same profession for few years and experienced and assisted in lot of deliveries, it was quiet fascinating for him. He mentioned its miracle of good and only happens once in lifetime (relatives, friends can come and go, even love marriage can happen more than once) and give new life to earth, and its so important for their parents and family they really appreciate the help such that they bow down to medical staff.

He was only 20 years old by that time, very nice to have such friends who can understand the philosophy and experience the miracle of God, such friends help in shaping our personality and perspective.

we are in regular touch, and he is still helping patients though not with official degree, but people love him more than they could have loved a doctor with degree.
