Today morning received a message from my friend regarding him flying to some place outside India for his business purpose. I wished him Happy Journey. And have been doing so from last many years now. He too always calls me as he arrives at the airport to fly back to India.
I always wish him in different languages like Spanish, French, English, Gujarati, Hindi and Sanskrit. I love the Sanskrit wish of “Shubhaste Pantha:”. It always makes me wonder the importance of words in our life.
Let your path be favourable
Let your path lead you to good fortune
Let your path be auspicious
Let your path lead you to providence
From materialistic gains to the path of God. To the path of truth. To the path of Divine. One word itself means so many different things and it will depend on the listener what meaning he or she derives.
I respect all the languages but adore Sanskrit not only for its Grammar but also its thesaurus. Actually making a thesaurus is a daunting task and people like Hemchandracharya have tried to compile it.
I can just bow down to all these people who have worked for Sanskrit and getting people educated about the language.
