Vasant Panchami – 2

The days of cold are in the wean,

Plants have shed, and are lean,

Nature is taking a turn today,

Who all want to see it, are keen…

As the trees turn brown to green,

And flowers bloom adding to sheen,

Nature is the place of learning,

So is the time not to vent our spleen

The days of learning, the days of respite,

The days of understanding to make our brains bright,

The time to unlearn, to make things right,

And reach the skies in a single flight…

Glossary:

Sheen – lustre

Vent one’s spleen – to shed ones anger

Respite – a short period of rest from something unpleasant

Wishing you all a very Happy Vasant Panchami (the advent of spring according to Hindu calendar).
