Thoughts… 3

Well you all might be a little surprised to see the cover page of a book. But this is a book which inspires me. Just love this book.

Allwyn Toffler was way ahead of his time. He had predicted the futility of school education and people working like machines. The books deals with many thoughts which I would not like to hand out now as I want you, my reader, to read.

But yes I can share that it is this book which strengthened my conviction to become a teacher. I wanted to be one from childhood days but this book gave me a reason.

In the same breath I should say that will be ever grateful to my mentor, teacher, philosopher, guide, Pujaniya Pandurang Shashtriji Athavale for introducing this book to me. I started attending His Divine Brain Trust (a weekly gathering of youth to discuss various characters, values and debate upon various topics which affect our day to day life and thinking) when in college and later His live discourses at the Shreemad Bhagwad Geeta Pathshaala, Madhavbaug, Chatni Road, Mumbai.

The book deals with the circumstances we are living in today and Toffler in his own meticulous way talks about finding solutions to them. But he wrote this more than 50 years ago but was no soothsayer. He cared for mankind and its development. And that was the basis of his study and writings.

Today when my friend lent me the book to read, the thoughts all filled my mind and am elated as well eager to go through it once again.

You all must also have been through books and thoughts which inspire. Will request you to think about the past and share them with all.

Till then…

Am a teacher by profession. A student of History and international politics. Believe that Bhakti (Devotion) and Humanism can only save Humanity. Revere all creation. My thoughts are influenced by His Holiness Pandurang Shashtriji Athavale
