Today is the day that the brave Maratha’s fought Abdali and forced him to retreat. Sadashivrao Bhau, Vishwasrao, Tukdoji Scindia, Jankoji, Gayakwad gave up their lives to save Delhi. It is known as the Battle of Panipat.
This part of history is known and we are taught that the Maratha’s lost and their downfall began. But then why did Abdali sign a treaty with Nanasaheb Peshwa and return back to his native and give the reins back to the Marathas? If they had been beaten black and blue, how did the Maratha’s fight back and in a decade install Shah Alam II back on the throne of Delhi.
I sometimes fail to understand that the so called Historians, (I call them the “Wendyputra’s) can write such a history which is bereft of truth and logic. And we too like dumbass fools agree with what they say and believe what they say. Is it possible that the Maratha’s who were defeated and grounded, just rose from the ashes and fought against the Abdali? There is no problem thinking likewise, but it does not appeal the logic of a person.
The Maratha’s did loose on the Uttarayan Day, in Panipat. But that did not start their downfall. Mahadji Scindia was saved that day and he got all the Maratha’s togther and fought against Abdali. Nanasaheb Phadnavis too helped in all this. And both together with the Maratha army installed Shah Alam II back on the Delhi throne. The Mughal Emperor and his Empire was reinstalled by the Marathas. And so the line of the Maharashtra Geet “दिल्ली चे ही तख्त राखतो, महाराष्ट्र माझा”.
So my dear readers we need to have a relook at our written history and need to correct it wherever needed. Let us remember that “ईतिहास” means “this is the way it happened”. So let history be the way it has happened and not be coloured with the likes and dislikes of a few government sponsored and communist historians.
On the day of Supreme sacrifice by Bhau, Vishwasrao and others, let us all decide to shun the untruthful historians and the history written by them and decide to research and read our true history.
Har Har Mahadeo!
So true, the history is polluted with personal prejudices. A pure view of history is needed for a proper succession of events into future. A future that lies on the foundations of a false past can not stay strong! Good line of approach, hope the similar is followed for most part of the historian community.

I agree and hope that history gets some good historians like Vyas and Valimiki

Vyasa and Valmiki are far more than historians. One foresaw future as history whereas the other established his contemporary story as a futuristic history!
Our modern historical way of depiction misses this beauty. Mere facts mixed with prejudices die out over time in the mutual conflicts. But a TRUTH weaved into a story stays forever!
