Deepawali – the Festival of Lights. Literally meaning a line of Lights.
Let the light fill our lives with happiness, virtues, wealth and knowledge.
Let the light remove all the vices, sadness and darkness from our lives.
Let the light shine our path, we are treading on and guide us onto the right path.
On Dhanteras, we pray to Goddess Laxmi to bless each and every household with the different wealths asked by the great Seers in Shree Suktam and remove the ‘alakshmi’ from our homes.
On Narak Chaturdashi, pray to Goddess Kali to kill the asura within us and liberate us from the selfish motives and lifestyle. Let Krishna liberate our 16108 nerves from the worldly pleasures and guide them on the path of good.
On Deepawali, pray to Goddess Saraswati to guide us unto the path of God. Let Ram be born in every heart. Let us pray for a long and lasting peace in the world. Let us all walk on the path to attain nirvana as attained by Mahaveerswami. It is also the Day when our Avtaar’s left this world for their Abode.
On the New Year, let us start anew and have an auspicious beginning in our lives. Let us enlighten ourself like Gautamswami.
On the Day of Bhai Beej, learn to respect every woman in this world like a sister and nurture these relationship.
On the Day of Panchami, let us learn to understand the importance of knowledge and try to imbibe it in our lives.
Wishing you all and everyone at home a very Happy and Auspicious Deepawali and a Prosperous New Year.
