Haiku #7

O son of the soil,

Be a Yogi in life, for

He is the greatest… // 6 – 46 //

Bhagwaan tells the importance of being a Yogi – the one who is joined in communion with Himself, God. He, the Yogi is greater than any ascetic, an intellectual or a doer / performer of action. Again a lighthouse like shlok for all of Humanity.

The shlok for your reference :
तपस्विभ्योऽधिकोयोगी
ज्ञानिभ्योऽपिमतोऽधिक:
कर्मिभ्यश्चाधिकोयोगी
तस्माद्योगीभवार्जुन।।
A yogi is superior to the tapasvī (ascetic), superior to the jñānī (a person of learning), and even superior to the karmī (ritualistic performer). Therefore, O Arjun, strive to be a yogi.
