Haiku #6

Who knows one’s senses,

Mind and thoughts; know him

As liberated… // 5 – 28 //

Bhagwaan here in this shlok describes the liberated (mukta). He goes on to say that the Mukta also has to be free from wishes, fear and anger. It is the goal of every living being to be liberated from the cycle of life and Bhagwaan here shows the path. It is not as simple as it seems. Yet this is the only way.

The Shlok for your reference :
यतेन्द्रियमनोबुद्धिर्मुनिर्मोक्षपरायण:
विगतेच्छाभयक्रोधो य: सदा मुक्त एव स: ।।

Controlling the senses, mind, and intellect, the sage who becomes free from desire and fear, always lives in freedom.

-Astu-

PS : plan to do one a day, on a shlok from each Chapter of Shreemad Bhagwad Geeta for 18 days. Have already done on Chapters 1,2,3,4 and 18. Today it is on Chap 5. If you have any choice of shlok of your own, pls share and if I am able to make a Haiku, will surely write one and blog it.
