Marriage

A union of two souls

A union of two families

A union of two cuisines

A union of two cultures

A union of two thought processes

A union to work together

A union to walk together…

Specific seven signifying the seven steps of “Saptpadi” of every marriage.

A beautiful thought when two different souls decide to become one and walk on the path of spiritual process together. Yes, Marriage for us, Indians is more a walk on the spiritual path than a legal path for reproduction. Reproduction becomes a divine process because of marriage. We will have kids not only to move our genetical hierarchy ahead but also to carry forward our goals and work.

A process of sublimation of one’s ego. Where both decide to spend life for each other, care for each other and look after each other. At the same time take care of each other’s personal, social and spiritual progress. It’s so difficult to let another person to be a part of your own life and decision making process. Yet, it is possible out of affection, warmth and love.

LET US ALL WORK TOGEGHER TO LET OUR INSTITUTIONS WORK.

TRUST OUR ELDERS.

TRUST OUR CULTURE.

TRUST EACH OTHER.

TRUST ONESELF.

  1. Wow. I love this post.

This is what Bible has to say about it:

    Hebrews 13:4 TPT
Honor the sanctity of marriage and keep your vows of purity to one another, for God will judge sexual immorality in any form, whether single or married.

  2. Very true . Essence of Marriage as viewed by Santana Dharma.

However over the years , male domination and more recently self centred view of Life is weakening this as institution and hence it is called as a contract…

Need of the hour is to revive it as an institution and more so as a growth journey of souls from Conflict to Harmony to Intimacy to Ecstacy which our Sages achieved in their marriage..

(these four stages are given by author Robert Augustas Masters in his book Transformation through Intimacy)
