Poem 8

They laid their lives down,

And the country and it’s people, bow down,

To them and their sacrifice,

But will this action only suffice?…

Our blood boils and the anger rages

Until their sacrifces are avenged,

Blood for blood and tooth for tooth

And the enemy killed and ravaged…

The time is ripe and let us toil

To see our neighbour buried into it’s soil,

Let it be cleansed and let no sign be left

Let us, O brethren, not rest until it’s death…
